Refund and Cancellation Policy
Fourteen days, no reason required, and cancelling never cuts short a period you have already paid for.

1. The refund
If you are not satisfied, ask for a refund within 14 days of a charge and you get all of it back. You do not have to give a reason, and we do not ask what you tried.
This applies to the first payment and to a renewal alike, and to a yearly charge exactly as it does to a monthly one: an auto-renewal you did not want is refundable in full for 14 days after it was taken. A yearly subscription refunded inside that window is refunded in full, not pro-rated.
2. How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address you subscribed with, or use the receipt the payment provider sent you. Say which charge you mean if there is more than one.
We approve refunds through Paddle.com Market Ltd, who processes the money back to the card or account you paid with. That usually lands within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank; the delay is theirs, not ours.
3. Cancelling
Cancel from the billing portal at any time. There is no commitment, no notice period and no cancellation fee.
Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves the period you have paid for intact — you keep the paid features until it ends, which on a yearly plan can be months away. A licence key is short-lived and renews itself, so in practice the paid tools stop working within about a week of that period ending.
4. What happens to your index
Nothing is deleted and no project has to be re-indexed. The free tier keeps every file it had discovered; what changes is how many of them keep a full-text body, and the next run trims the rest to the free depth on its own.
5. When we will not refund
- More than 14 days after the charge. At that point the subscription simply runs to the end of the period and stops.
- Where a licence key or registry token was shared or resold, or licence verification was circumvented.
- Where a chargeback has already been opened for the same charge — that is being handled by your bank, and we cannot refund it twice.
6. Tax and currency
Refunds are issued in the currency you paid in and include any VAT or sales tax collected at checkout. The merchant of record adjusts the tax filing; you do not need to do anything.
7. Statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you also have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days. This policy is at least as generous, and nothing here limits that right or any other you have by law.
